From airside coordination to escorting world leaders, AAI Corp. played a frontline role at Calgary International Airport (YYC), serving as a trusted partner in one of the country’s highest-profile operational undertakings.
What We Delivered
Over the course of several critical days, AAI Corp. was responsible for:
- Lead and trail escorting for diplomatic motorcades between state aircraft and secure terminal facilities
- Airside access control and movement facilitation in restricted areas under elevated security conditions
- Real-time operational support, coordinating with national and international partners minute-by-minute
- Support for the reception and staging of military aircraft and government equipment arrivals from Canadian and U.S. forces

Strategic Military Movements
AAI Corp. supported YYC operations during the arrival of key military and government assets:
- Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) staged and moved convoys of tactical vehicles and support equipment from Edmonton to Calgary under secured schedules.
- United States Air Force C 17 Globemaster III aircraft transported diplomatic vehicles and operational cargo in support of the U.S. delegation.
While military handling was led by respective agencies, AAI Corp. coordinated escorting, airside access, and perimeter movement ensuring seamless integration with federal partners.

- RCMP & CAF through the Integrated Safety & Security Group (ISSG)
- Global Affairs Canada for accreditation and delegation access
- Calgary Police Service for tactical and perimeter operations
- YYC Calgary Airport Authority for routing, logistics, and terminal control
- Sunwest Aviation for state and VIP aircraft ground handling
