As we reach the midpoint of the year, I have taken some time to reflect on all the incredible things our team has accomplished to date in 2024. Our industry can move fast, our business changes daily and we sometimes forget the impact we are having on our industry, our clients and most importantly our people. As I sit back, read through my notes, old emails and have conversations with a few key people I am humbled, I am so proud to be working with this team.
Recently, I’ve had many conversations with our clients about our team, I am always so filled with pride when I hear about our people making a positive impact to their operations. From Beumer Group speaking the praises of AAI Terminal Security Escorts; Paulette Cameron, Tehseen Faruqi or Ma Darryl Patanindagat, to PCL Construction constantly letting me know that AAI DA Escort Jethro Gineto is a huge piece of their job site on a daily basis or when a GTAA Baggage MO comes up to me to shake my hand and tell me how CASS Supervisor, Jasdeep Pandher, is always such a pleasure to deal with, to many more positive reports from our staff performing their duties at YYZ. I am constantly reminded how great of a team we have here at CASS + AAI at Toronto Pearson Airport.
Of course, none of this is possible without our great Management, Training and Support Staff at head office and on the front lines. I will once again repeat myself in this newsletter but thank you to; Mo, Raffi, Antonia, Stephanie, Anne, Matthew, Stewart, Clovis, and all of our supervisors performing your duties with pride, consistency and Leading By Example.
As I repeat my thanks like I do in every newsletter, I can’t help but notice that the names I continue to thank are the same names newsletter after newsletter, year after year. I am so honoured and humbled to continue this journey with the same core of people, the fact we have such little turnover in our core group speaks to the continuity we have and the trust we have built. I appreciate you all and look forward to continuing this journey together.
On that note, we aren’t saying goodbye, but see you later to a key member of our team; Resource Planner, Anne Kumar, who is heading out on maternity leave as she welcomes her first baby boy into this world. Anne, thank you for your consistent support of our team, you have been a pillar of stability since you joined us, and we can’t wait to have you back. But for now, enjoy the joys of motherhood and don’t be shy to come by the office with the little guy! The CASS + family wish you and your family nothing but the best as you enter a new phase in your life.
