Niko’s Update

I hope everyone is enjoying the hotter weather these summer months are! I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates and achievements in my section of the newsletter. Summer always brings high energy and many opportunities, and our teams have been busier than ever over the last few months.

Over the last few months, I have been deeply involved in developing new proposals aimed at expanding our business. These proposals have demanded significant time and effort, but the hard work is already showing promising results. I truly appreciate the teams I have around me for their support and extra effort put in while I’ve been working on these assignments. We couldn’t be as successful as we are without each of you, and I know all of us are excited about the future possibilities these new opportunities will bring.

We are proud to announce that Metrolinx has renewed our contract to provide Bus Marshaling Services at their terminals, including Yorkdale, Union Station Bus Terminal, and Hamilton GO Center. This renewal is a clear recognition of the outstanding work our team has been doing. I often say this, but I couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. Their dedication, the culture they have curated, and their ability to continue to lead by example continues to impress and set the standard.

June marked a new milestone for us as we received our very first Call-up from our newest client, the City of Toronto. The event was a Dragon Boat racing event on the Toronto Island, expected to draw a crowd of 20,000 people. With two out of four ferries down, it was a challenging situation, but our team responded swiftly and effectively. Our ability to provide quick, valuable solutions was on full display, and the success of this event showcases our capability and readiness to tackle any challenge. Thank you to our team for keeping agile throughout the day and willing to help wherever necessary. Well done!

We are also happy to report that our work in Inuvik has been progressing smoothly and steadily. The stability and regular cadence of this project are something we are particularly proud of. It’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved on that project.

I’ve also been finding some time for some fun this summer like attending the Ground Handling International Conference held in Toronto this year and playing in a few golf tournaments. As you can see in the pictures, I’m making sure to work hard AND play hard! As we continue through the summer, our companies remain committed to excellence and growth. Thank you for your continued support and partnerships. Here’s to a season filled with success and new opportunities for all!
